What a fabulous time was had by all at our Jubilee Party fun in the sun!
The families arrived at a garden full of sunshine and Jubilee decorations. Residents were ‘Jubilee ready’, with the England Flag painted boldly on their cheeks, a straw hat on their heads and smiles all around.
Staff served out cool drinks, including cloudy lemonade with ice, which everyone found refreshing in the warm weather whilst local singer Lizzi Jones sang a range of classic songs. The mood was infectious and soon enough the singing and dancing started.
Whilst topping up the drinks, everyone enjoyed ice lollies, which went down very well! Lizzi ended her show to rapturous applause – and a shout out for one more!
Following on from this beautiful performance, it was time for the food. We served a traditional buffet, including finger sandwiches, cheese and pineapple sticks, scotch eggs and pork pies. Puddings included a traditional trifle and Eton Mess, and it is safe to say that not much was left!
Everyone left the party in good spirits and over the weekend that followed we received messages of thanks and praise (one is below) for such a lovely party. This really meant a lot to the staff, after a long and challenging two years.
We currently have one empty room for a private paying resident at £975 per week.
